Editorial policy

A human approves everything

Nothing publishes on this site without a person reviewing and approving it first, without exception. Drafting may be assisted by software, including AI writing tools, but every published page has been read, checked, and signed off by a human before it went live. Responsibility for its accuracy stays with us.

We also publish deliberately rather than in bulk. A page goes live when it is ready, not because a batch of pages was generated.

Where our facts come from

Factual claims about the test, including scoring rules, format, timing, and the differences between Academic and General Training, follow the materials published by the IELTS partners. Our tools implement those published rules directly, and the calculations are covered by automated tests. Where something is our judgement or an estimate rather than a published rule, we say so on the page.

Updates and corrections

The test changes, and so does our understanding of it, so pages are revised when they need to be. Guides show a published date, and material revisions update the page rather than leaving stale advice in place.

When we find an error, we correct it. If you find one first, please tell us. Reported errors are checked and fixed, and we would rather hear about a mistake than have it mislead someone preparing for test day.
